Stay safe at the wheel with drowsiness and distraction alerts

The infrared Driver-Monitoring System (DMS) Camera is designed to improve driver’s safety by helping prevent risky behaviors. The DMS Camera monitors the driver at all times. Its algorithm can detect statuses such as:

• Driver absence: Event recording and push notifications
• Distraction*: in-vehicle alerts, Event recording and push notifications
• Drowsiness**: in-vehicle alerts, Event recording and push notifications
• Seatbelt missing: in-vehicle alerts, Event recording and push notifications

As soon as the DMS camera detects a status, the front camera’s speaker emits a beep and spoken message to alert the driver. Meanwhile push notifications are sent to the owner if the camera is connected to the Cloud.
The RC1-DMS also records clear videos of the vehicle’s interior, including in Parking Mode.

(*) Distraction status triggers only when the GPS receives a signal and the detected speed is above 30km/h or 18.6mph.
(**) Drowsiness status triggers when no GPS signal is received and when a GPS signal is received and the detected speed is above 30km/h or 18.6mph.

With Seamless Pairing, setting up your dashcam is a breeze. Just power the dashcam, then easily connect from the BlackVue app and follow the simple instructions.

• Or simply scan the QR code enclosed in your dash cam’s packaging.

With standard dash cams, the main processor is located in the front camera, typically exposed to the sun.
In the Box Series dash cams, the processor is located in the box unit, which can be installed in a cooler location of your vehicle.

Unlike conventional dash cams where the microSD card is located in the front camera, the “Box” recording unit can be installed in a secure and/or hidden location of the vehicle, such as the glove compartment, under a seat or anywhere else out of sight.

Smaller front camera

The front camera is 35% shorter and more compact than a regular front camera. This minimizes the likelihood of being spotted by a potential robber.

This means in the event of a break-in, a thief would have a harder time either spotting the cameras or finding the Box unit that contains the videos.

The DR770X Box Pro is designed from the ground up to prevent tampering.
Main unit: cover with lock and key to prevent access to the microSD card and the cable connectors.

Cameras: covers with hex screw to prevent the unplugging of cables and lock the camera angle in the mount.

Triple protection

• Locks the dashcam’s angle via a hex screw to prevent rotation.
• Blocks the access to the microSD card slot.
• Protects against the unplugging of the power, video, and USB cables.

Easily manage your video files

Easily change your BlackVue configuration settings and browse your videos on your mobile or computer.

With the BlackVue App, connect to your BlackVue to access files and check real-time Live View for easy setup of your dashcam.
With the SD Card Viewer, connect your dashcam’s microSD card to your computer to view and backup footage in bulk, as well as export clips, remove sound, etc.

The Web Viewer lets you manage your Cloud-connected dashcams from any web browser at blackvuecloud.com.

Built-in file protection and failure alerts

Event Files Overwrite Protection: dashcams record in a loop, overwriting older files when the memory is full. BlackVue can prevent Event files (triggered manually or by impacts) overwriting. Up to fifty (50) files can be protected this way. You can choose to allow new Event files to overwrite past Event files, thus keeping the latest fifty.

Adaptive Format-Free File Management: this BlackVue-developed file system improves recording stability and requires less microSD card formatting.

SD Card Failure Alert: your BlackVue detects as soon as the microSD card fails and warns you with a “Please check SD card” voice alert.

DR770X Box Pro Series can be hardwired to your vehicle’s fuse panel for Parking Mode, without requiring optional accessories. The dashcam will switch to Parking Mode automatically when vehicle ignition is turned off. Voltage cutoff and timer can be set in the BlackVue App.

Motion & Impact Detection mode

Region – Based Motion Detection

Motion & Impact Detection Parking Mode detects both:

• Motions recorded by the image sensor (marked “P” in the file list).
• Impacts detected by the accelerometer/G-sensor (marked “E” in the file list).

Choose detection regions to reduce the risk of triggering unwanted motion recordings due to trees swaying in the wind, far-away moving objects, etc.
