A229 Pro is the industry’s first dashcam using two flagship Sony STARVIS 2 image sensors, respectively for front and rear cameras. The two sensors, namely the IMX678 and IMX675, offer wider dynamic range and higher light sensitivity than the STARVIS tech, bringing much less noise and motion blur during day & night recording.

The dashcam supports seamless connectivity to your smartphone via a USB2.0 Type-C to Type-C data cable, enabling superfast downloads of photos and videos. Specifically, the download speed is up to 20MB/s on iPhone 16. This direct connection also facilitates effortless firmware updates, ensuring access to the latest features and optimal performance.

Note: Please use a USB2.0 Type-C to Type-C data cable and ensure that your phone supports an output of 5V2A. This data transfer method is compatible with the iPhone 15/16 series and newer versions of Android smartphones.

A229 Pro features a state-of-the-art Quad-Mode GPS module which supports 4 satellite positioning systems, GPS, BeiDou, Galileo, and GLONASS, achieving positioning faster and greatly improving positioning accuracy & stability. It provides detailed location, speed, and time data of the vehicle when playing back the video on VIOFO App or computer.

Loop Recording & Auto Emergency Lock

Endless Recording, Instant Protection

A229 Pro supports seamless loop recording and overwrites the oldest videos with the latest ones. With the built-in G-sensor, the dashcam will automatically lock the footage in case of collision or crash, recreating the accident scene for your peace of mind.

Circular Polarizing Lens

Effectively Reducing Reflections

A CPL (Circular Polarizing Lens) filter can be used to reduce reflections and glare off glass and road surfaces, bringing significantly improved image clarity and contrast.

The front camera CPL is included.

Bluetooth Remote Control (Optional)

Control at Your Fingertips

The Bluetooth remote control can be positioned in a convenient location for safe and easy use while driving. Pressing the middle button will instantly protect current video clip and image. The two buttons on the side can be customized to set different functions.

Dash cams require a memory card that can withstand heavy writing cycles.
A high-endurance card, designed especially for heavy use and
write-intensive applications, is extremely critical for dash cam recording.
Cheap cards are the main cause of most unexplainable recording issues,
have poor performance in non-stop writing endurance, and are less likely to
