A229 Plus comes with cutting-edge dual cameras that deploy Sony’s latest STARVIS 2 technology, supporting upgraded 2K Quad HD recording for front and rear view. It delivers excellent video quality, capturing every detail all day and night.
A229 Plus is the industry’s first dashcam using two Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 image sensors which offer 2.5 times wider dynamic range and higher light sensitivity than the STARVIS tech, bringing much less noise and motion blur during day & night recording.
A229 Plus is outstanding in a wide range of lighting conditions, by virtue of the dual Sony STARVIS 2 IMX675 sensors. Every captured footage is enhanced with a wider dynamic range to reveal more details in highlights and shadows. These flagship sensors, coupled with advanced HDR technology, balance extremely bright and dark areas to accurately restore 2K details recorded at night, even captures accurate license details in fast move from both front and rear recording.
A229 Plus comes with an advanced voice control feature, which allows you to start/stop recording, take photos, and turn on/off WiFi with simple spoken commands in multiple languages (English/Chinese/Russian/Japanese). It can also clearly notifies you of settings changes or memory card errors, keeping you fully focused on the road.
An upgraded 5GHz Wi-Fi connection module is built into A229 Plus to provide much faster Wi-Fi data transfer, ensuring smooth video previewing, downloading and sharing.
*Note: VIOFO hardwire kit is required for Parking Mode.
The hardwire kit is optional and not included in the standard package.
Supported by a buffered function, once moving objects are detected, the camera will automatically start recording and will save the video for 15 seconds before and 30 seconds after the detected event.

It provides detailed location, speed, and time data of the vehicle when playing back the video on VIOFO App or computer.

A229 Pro supports seamless loop recording and overwrites the oldest videos with the last ones. With the built-in G-sensor, the dashcam will automatically lock the footage in case of collision or crash, recreating the accident scene for your peace of mind.
That’s an ultra HD 2.4” screen, designed for crystal clear photo and video preview while driving on the road.
Equipped with a built-in IR light sensor, the interior camera automatically activates its 4 infrared LED lights in low-light conditions, ensuring sharp black and white image capture even in total darkness.
The infrared cabin camera can be purchased separately, allowing those with A229 Plus 2 Channels dashcams to opt for a cabin camera, or you can also directly buy the A229 Plus 3 Channels bundle.
A CPL (Circular Polarizing Lens) filter can be used to reduce reflections and glare off glass and road surfaces, bringing significantly improved image clarity and contrast.
The Bluetooth Control can be positioned in a convenient location for safe and easy use while driving. Pressing the button will instantly protect current video clip and image. Control Distance: 5 meters.
Dashcams require a memory card that can withstand heavy writing cycles. A high-endurance card, designed especially for heavy use and write-intensive applications, is extremely critical for dash cam recording. Cheap cards are the main cause of most unexplainable recording issues, have poor performance in non-stop writing endurance, and are less likely to withstand harsh conditions.
